Reward for white water rafting

Isn't he a beauty, ice cream and all.  We just finished rafting the white water of the Trinity River from Pigeon Point to Big Flat class III+ rapids in high water.  Thankfully the 4 some. 3 really buff guys and a sturdy girl made the trip after 45 min of road work delays.  That would have been a little rough just John and I with the guide.  It was pretty scarey in some parts but a lot of fun and after that were ready for class IV.
Trinity Rafting Company, just in case your in the area.
This is what was holding up our fellow rafters, a ginormous land slide.  There were many along the road but none as big as this.  It was a wet winter.
Heading up the 101 from the 299 we are in the Redwood National Forest.  A heard of Elk were busy munching the grass on either side of the road.  EVERYONE stopped, we thought it was an accident, nope just Elk.  There were majestic and their horns were covered with fuzzy new growth.

It's raining!  From 96 degrees to 63 in about 50 miles.  It is just beautiful and a real treat from the heat.  You forget how breathtaking this section of 101 is.  Hopefully they have saved us a spot at Mill Creek Campground.
