It is a new day, Saturday July 1, we are all rested up from our last hike so 2.5 to Mink Lake 5 miles round trip, perfect. Except it is one mile to the trail head, now that's 7. John wants to know what he can get for his frequent hiker miles!!!! Not to mention we went to the hot springs, another 1 mile each way, almost 9 miles today, oh and 2.5 was uphill all the way to Mink Lake. Then this sign always gets us, we are dog tired and still 1 more mile to loop B, not sure who is measuring but it is only about .2. Whew.
Mink Lake 2.5 uphill. Lots of fish, no deer or bear, just a family back packing.
John's trick....keep the bikes on the rack and back the motor home over the logs so that they are too high up to reach...then you don't have to ride them.
Tomorrow we get up early to grocery shop before our ferry ride. Very soon we need to find a laundry mat, or buy new clothes.
