We tried to get to Lake Shannon Via Baker Road, we came across a beautiful Dam and a dirt road kinda one way. As we were crossing this bridge a car came, we squeezed by and she yelled at us because we are "suppose to honk" before crossing". OOPS! The road got narrower and dirtier..we did retreat:(
Many more lakes ahead. Maybe Lake John. We just passed the 2000 mile marker for our trip, it seems like so much until we think of our other big trips of 8000 & 6000 respectively. We are getting old, this will probably only be about 3000, we talk about flying a lot.
We did our laundry in the Beautiful town of "Concrete", not sure of the history but I guess this sign tells the story. So 18 reasons not to go to Costco hungry, a pastry assortment. Danish, Apple turnovers (yummy) and I can never turn down the croissants. What the hay, we are doing lots of hiking, right? After a couple we did have some buyers and eaters remorse.
This brought back memories, how long since you have been to a laundromat???? We had tons of laundry, good thing you don't pay by the pound.
The white washers were $2 a load, the yellow $1.50, is that discrimination, and the dryers were not so hot. (Literally). John sat outside the library and used their internet to order his Neice a wedding gift, got extra keys made for the motor home, a big thrill! We only had one and could not find anyone who had the right blank. Concrete Hardware is the place! John wants to stay for the 4th of July parade.....I think I made a face.
