Walking back on the other side of the Sol Duc river on Lover's Lane trail. Have no idea how it got it's name, it was steeper and much rockier with tree roots at every step, except this boardwalk. Maybe the knight in shining armor carried his love back. We learned that this trail is much longer and what was .8 from the parking lot is really 2.8 from the campground and about 3.2 more from Lover's trail.
Sol Duc river....the Salmon come here every year, swim up stream to lay their eggs. Just like Alaska.
Our reward, Sol Duc Hot Springs Spa. One 72 degree pool, 98, 102 and 104 pools.
They offer spa treatments and massage. My honey rubbed my feet, yes I was tired too after that hike. The sign said 1 mile back to camp after our 6.2, luckily they were wrong, it was about .4.
